Unhappy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its hard to be optimistic if you are a New Jersey Nets fan. The day before thanksgiving, they had a tough task of going into Portland and breaking their 14 game losing streak. It was "Mission Impossible". The Nets ended up losing 93-83 to the team of the future, the Portland Trailblazers. The Blazers are almost unbeatable on their home floor with all those athletic players and oh by the way Greg Oden is playing some pretty good basketball. He led the Portland attack wit 18 points and 8 rebounds. Brooke Lopez had a monster game for the Nets, 32 points and 14 boards. New Jersey kept it close until the midpoint of the 3rd quarter where portland went on a 8-0 run when the game was tied at 54. The flood gates opened up in the 4th quarter as the Trailblazers were up 16 points but give the Nets credit, they never gave up. New Jersey is on their usual Thanksgiving west coast trip, next up, Sacramento. This is a winable game so don't be surprised if the Nets are 1-15.

Highlights:

Allen Iverson retiring???? Awwwwwwww this is more like a low light for me. He is and will be one of my favorite players to watch. Iverson, aka the Answer aka AI announced that he will be retiring from the NBA. This has to be a joke, he can still play and is better than 90 percent of the guards in the league. Hopefully its a short lived retirement ala Bret Favre. Allen has a whole lot of highlights but the best one had to be when he crossed-over the master Michael Jordan in his rookie year. It was so bad, the NBA had to banish that cross-over. David Stern had called AI into his office and warn him not to do that again especially to Jordan.
